This Sunday is Youth Sunday, the special annual service that includes our beloved graduating seniors’ statements, and a bridging ritual that will mark their transition to Young Adulthood in the UU faith. The rest of the youth group will be contributing with readings, musical performances, and more. This service will be tied together with the theme of rising: how this group has risen up against injustice and risen above amidst a world of uncertainty throughout their years as youth in our congregation (not to mention had fun times together making cream puffs rise, too). In addition, our congregation will be saying goodbye – for real this time – to Haley Wegner, the Assistant Director of Youth Ministries, who has served our teens and our faith for the last 6 years. This Sunday is also Bring a Friend Sunday, so you are encouraged to get someone to join us for this special service, especially if they have a child who might be interested in joining WUSYG.
