“From Rain to River to Sea: The Power of Us”

As the story goes, attendees of a UU women’s conference were asked to bring a little water from home so they could create a sense of home as they built community together. This is how we often begin our new year so please bring some water from what you consider home or someplace special. If you forget, don’t worry – we’ll have extra! This intergenerational service will celebrate the earth’s gifts that sustain all life and remind us of the need to be a powerful partner in its care. It will remind us we are stronger together than we are alone. The service will conclude with a rededication of our flags, including representatives from community organizations, and the annual opening potluck. This year, the potluck will be a Diversity Feast: bring a dish that reflects your ethnic heritage, your family’s recipes or your culture.
