Order of Service for Sunday Worship: Water Communion OOS

Water Communion is a yearly celebration of the gifts and lessons of the earth and the return to community. This year, we come together in yet another new way, with some gathering in the sanctuary, some at home, all together. What can water teach us as we enter this new chapter in our individual lives and our shared life together? What can we carry into this next, new year with uncertainty remaining as our constant companion? It is our tradition to conclude this service by pouring our individual waters into a common bowl. If you will attend worship at the WUS building OR will attend social hour after worship outdoors, please bring some water with you from your summer season. If you forget, we’ll have extra! If you will attend virtually and live locally, visit WUS on Saturday, September 11 between 1-3 at the Main Street door and Rev. Heather will greet you and collect your water.
