“Where the Crawdads Sing,” our annual Animal Blessing worship service. Please join us for this service for all ages, and all species, in which we honor our kinship with the other animals who share their world with us. We recognize and remember animals we have known and loved, and we offer a blessing of health and companionship with our animal friends.
We invite you to bring your animal companion, on leash, or in carrier to ensure a peaceable kingdom on this special morning. If they are unable to join us, a photo or token can be blessed as well. As we remember our beloved departed animal companions we also welcome photos and tokens of those who are no longer living. We congregate on the back lawn of the Winchester Unitarian Society (look for the chairs) in fair weather, or follow the signs to Metcalf Hall if the weather is not conducive to out of doors worship.
