In 2022 President Joe Biden issued a proclamation designating April as Arab-American Heritage Month, a culmination of many years of work by volunteers in the Arab-American community. Moreover, it is an occasion to confront the bias, discrimination, and violence endured by many of the 3.5 million Americans of Arab descent, particularly in the aftermath of 9/11.
