This past Sunday, the youth of the church, including many RE assistants, performed a skit for the kids for First Reflection. It was all about believing in yourself and following your dreams no matter what people might say. It was such a powerful message made more so because it came from kids for kids.
This coming Sunday, we’ll be back to our regular RE classes, with Spirit Play 1 hearing a story about Why Wisdom Is Everywhere and Spirit Play 2 will hear about the One Great Web of Life. Neighboring Faiths will begin studying Buddhism in earnest in anticipation of our first visit to the Massachusetts Buddhist Association in Lexington.
One notable change for RE this Sunday: We’ll be instituting a new pick-up procedure. Starting this Sunday, RE assistants will be bringing children down to the Symmes room as a group at 10:35. Parents will no longer have to go to the third floor to pick up their children. Kids with the assistants will gather at the kids’ table and parents can pick up their children there.
