This past Sunday for First Reflection, we talked about how important it is to remember that we all belong to one another, even though it can be hard sometimes when someone seems very different from ourselves. In our RE time, we had our second February Vacation collective fun time. We played “Freeze” Dance, did winter crafts, and had some rousing games of snowflake bowling. It was a “blast”!
This coming Sunday, we’re back to regular RE classes. Spirit Play 1 will hear a story about a young emperor who searches for the greatest power and the surprising answer he gets from a perceptive young girl. Spirit Play 2 will hear a story about the many ways people express faith and our own UU understanding of those differences. Neighboring Faiths will debrief about their bowling party with Haitian refugee youth on Saturday and begin discussing Buddhism.
This weekend, WUSYG will join JUSYG for a joint meeting! WUSYG will meet from 5:30-6:30, and then we will join JUSYG at 6:30 for dinner, connection, and to prepare for our two big upcoming events: our youth-led worship on March 10 and the Chili Cook-off on March 17.
As a reminder, you can always find the most up-to-date WUSYG calendar, including special meetings, joint WUSYG and JUSYG meetings, and fundraisers, here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mCgVlud-1D1cY_UlLo7pgmdc5RVtTaBWuKwfF7jFDyg/edit?usp=sharing.
